Crafting a Career Path with Team BIC

Are you looking for a company where your career growth knows no limits? Look no further than BIC! We are a group of self-starters who know how to roll up our sleeves and find innovative solutions that help us reimagine everyday essentials. One of the most exciting things about working with Team BIC is the opportunity to craft your own career path and enhance your professional skillset!

Below, several team members, who began their careers as interns and are now working full-time at BIC, share how they turned their career dreams into reality and what they’ve learned along the way.

Cynthia Alvarez, Trainee at Cuautitlan Izcalli > Tape Operations Manager

“When I graduated from college, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but I liked the idea of working in a factory and discovered BIC’s Talent Outbreak Rotational Program. During the trainee program I worked with various departments including planning and engineering teams, where I was able to work on exciting, real-world projects that actually made a business impact! Here at BIC, I can be myself, make mistakes and feel empowered to learn from them – that’s what growth is."

Pablo Fernandez, Human Resources Intern, Cuautitlan > HRBP for Ecuador & Guatemala

“I started my career with BIC as an HR intern in our Cuautitlan Plant in Mexico—BIC is a very popular brand in Mexico and the team made me feel welcome, so it was an easy choice to join. After a few months, I was promoted to Recruitment Coordinator and later Talent Experience Coordinator. Finally, a few months ago, I was given the opportunity to take on a new challenge as the HRBP for Ecuador & Guatemala, where my main objective is to achieve alignment on business processes and policies.

Since working with BIC, there are 3 key learnings that I apply to my day-to-day work and personal life:

  1. If you don´t have the solution you must work as a team to evaluate the possible answers without forgetting your integrity.
  2. Strive for excellence without forgetting simplicity.
  3. The impossible is always possible.

Thomas Dalla-Turca, Europe Supply Planning GSC Intern > End-to-end Supply Planner

“I joined BIC because I wanted to be part of a global supply chain with strong and historical expertise, so I began here as a Supply Planner on a one-year apprenticeship. After, I was lucky enough to move into a full-time position on the EMEA Factory Planning Team, responsible for overseeing the production of coloring products at the Samer factory. Now, I’m transitioning to End-to-end Supply Planner for our Bizerte factory while working in Clichy, France.

I love where I work since I’m free to participate in new projects, take on new responsibilities, and have the autonomy to take ownership of my career. Not being restricted is key to unlocking my full potential and I’m happy to have that since I’m at BIC.”

Mike FitzGerald, NAM Total Rewards Intern > Associate Manager, Total Rewards

“When I first saw the job posting, I knew I needed to apply because of how iconic the BIC brand is. Once I began interviewing with the team, I grew more excited about the opportunity because I saw the talent I would be working with and knew I would learn a lot from the team, while also having a big impact, even as an intern. After beginning as the Total Rewards Intern for North America during the summer internship program, I officially became a full-time BIC team member in December of 2021, continuing with the Total Rewards team.

Here at BIC I really have a sense of pride in my work, and I have been provided with development opportunities that I do not believe I would have gotten working with another company.”

At BIC, we encourage every team member to unlock the power of their full potential and offer a workplace where everyone’s unique perspectives can thrive. Learn more about how you can make your mark with BIC here
