Quality Engineer

Key accountabilities :

-Develop and implement quality control systems and testing procedures 
-Conduct inspections, audits, and product testing 
-Identify defects, root causes, and corrective actions 
-Designs, develops & implements robust quality processes and systems to assure compliance with quality standards, regulations & customer requirements, 
-Coordinate with the Plant Team, actions plan to reduce or eliminate non-conformities that can lead to risk the product quality
-Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent product quality 
-Maintain documentation for quality assurance processes
-Determines, implements & maintains Quality Controls on the different processes, to continuously improve its performance, developing Quality Control Plans
-Monitor the verification and/or calibration of all monitoring and measuring equipment used in manufacturing.
-Take timely decisions regarding non-conforming product, materials, shipments, urgent materials. Coordinate efforts between areas, to inspect products, or in case rework is needed
-Works collaboratively with team members for Product Change request implementation, & Value Engineering initiatives, providing detailed follow up according to stablished quality requirements
-Supports new product, machines, & process validation activities, including developing protocols, conducting / leading testing, analyzing results & implementing improvements
-Conduct training sessions
-Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for the manufacturing process 
-Analyze and update monitoring indicators (reporting data, dashboards, scrap rates, etc.). 
-Participate in quality audits and quality management system improvements.

Qualification required:

Engineering Degree (Industrial, Chemical, or similar)  or quality management 
3 -5 years’ experience in manufacturing quality role 

Knowledge & skills:

Solid background in ISO 9001 and related quality management standards
Proficiency of internal audits
Experience with quality tools (PDCA, 8D, AMDEC, Monitoring Plan, QRQC, 5M, 5S, 5 Why...)
Strong Knowledge of process and product metrology and capability.
High proven expertise in plastic injection processes.

Language: fluent French and English (read, spoken and written)
Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
