As a Key Account Manager at BIC, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic key accounts in the Belgium and Luxembourg region. You will take ownership of the entire sales process, from developing account strategies to executing them, while collaborating closely with marketing, category management, and our field sales team. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to drive business growth, build lasting client relationships, and contribute directly to the success of BIC in the Benelux region. The role is based in Belgium with regular interactions across the Luxembourg

Key Responsibilities :
Account Management
- Take full ownership of some of our strategic retail accounts in the Belgium and Luxembourg region, including one of the country’s leading national retail groups, in both modern trade and specialized channels.
- Drive sustainable growth by developing and executing strategic account plans focused on sales, market share, and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, delivering tailored solutions that create mutual value.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management, aligning sales activities with company objectives.
Sales & Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze account performance, identifying growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to refine commercial strategies.
- Plan and execute promotional activities in collaboration with sales and marketing teams to maximize impact.
- Anticipate market shifts by analyzing consumer trends, competitor actions, and category developments together with our Commercial Excellence Manager and Field Sales team
Customer Relations & Negotiations
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trade terms to deliver win-win outcomes for both BIC and customers.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities, expanding product distribution and driving category growth.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner, supporting customers with insights and value-adding initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, category management, and our Field Sales team to bring account plans to life and ensure perfect in-store execution
- Coordinate product launches, promotional campaigns, and in-store activations, ensuring operational excellence.
- Share market and customer feedback with internal teams to continuously improve products and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: +3 years of experience in Sales as a key account manager and/or Field Sales Manager, ideally managing client portfolios in a similar role. Field sales experience as Account Manager or Sales Rep. are an asset.
• Languages: Fluent in French and Dutch; proficient in English.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint,...)
• Negotiation & Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and clients.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret sales data and market insights to develop winning account strategies.
• Customer Focus: A passion for providing excellent service and building long-term, trust-based relationships with clients.
• Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
