Job Description

As Export apprentice, you will be an important member of our Global Supply Chain organization.

Your main activities / tasks to manage: 

• Transport organisation: translate stock replenishment orders into physical shipments by coordinating the organisation of the transport between production site or warehouse, freight forwarder, custom broker and destination site (like USA, Brazil, Australia etc) to ensure smooth and on-time operations. 

• Transport execution: provide all required transport & customs related documents (invoice, packing list, COO, Export declaration, letter of credit…) follow-up the in-transit with the Freight Forwarder, support the day-to-day operational issues, ensure back-up solutions and arbitrate decisions to support service rate and customers expectations.     

• Performance evaluation: follow-up of Key Performance Indicators (volumes, costs, lead time, quality & claims) to ensure operations smoothness and customer satisfaction. Prepare and lead periodical business reviews with freight forwarders and customer service team to monitor operations and define axis of improvement. 

• Continuous improvement: review processes and improve standards to generate higher quality and efficiency to operations, always with the customer value added in mind. 

• Logistic operations activity support: provide support to other logistic operations team to support peak of activities, project and workload balancing among the local team.  

Interactions within BIC organization:  

• Supply Planning / Factory planning: will define orders and quantities to be shipped from France to our subsidiaries around the world: will define the transportation needs.   

• Overseas Subsidiaries: as receiver and customers of the export shipments, it is paramount to ensure operations are executed according to their objectives (transit time, costs, quality).  

• Customs Coordinator: as a support of all key topics / issues relating to customs compliance.  

• BIC Factories & BIC suppliers: origin point of all the shipments. Coordination of the transport and collection arrangements. 

• BIC Europe Warehouses: destination of shipments. Ensure that deliveries are done on time. 

Interaction outside of BIC: 3PL, Carriers, Customs agent and Freight forwarders. 

KPIs: Export: Number of shipments / Cost per pallet / Transit time / Data quality 

Qualifications

• Preparing a master degree in Supply Chain

• Ideally first experience in the supply chain function

• English is a must for this role 

• Positive mindset & continuous improvement mindset

• Organized, rigorous & structure

• Microsoft Office (mainly Excel) 

• PowerBI would be a plus
