As a Demand Planning Apprentice, you will join both the European Demand Planning team and the Global Demand Planning Center of Excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the crossroads of markets and global strategy.

You will contribute to key operational forecasting activities across Europe while also supporting global initiatives and transformation projects. In particular, you will participate in one of our major transformation programs: the implementation of a new planning tool as part of our global planning journey.

This apprenticeship will give you strong exposure to business planning, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making in an international environment.

 

What you’ll do:

1/ Participate in Building the European Sales Forecast

  • Depending on business needs, act as operational backup or owner for selected European markets, contributing to the development of a robust Demand Plan across short- and long-term horizons (up to 24 months) by combining statistical forecasts (BY Demand) with commercial and marketing insights.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to review, challenge, and consolidate forecasts related to promotions and new product launches, ensuring a consistent and realistic demand outlook.
  • Work closely with the Finance team during quarterly Financial Rolling Forecast updates to reconcile financial and operational forecasts, helping identify and address potential gaps.

 

2/ Lead some key steps of our Global IBP process 

  • Coordinate and support the annual global product classification process.
  • Consolidate the monthly volatility file to ensure data consistency and accuracy across regions.
  • Contribute to automation and improvement of reporting tools and scorecards to enhance process efficiency.
  • Develop new forecast reasonability checks to support and challenge Demand Planners using different aggregation levels (category, regional, etc.).

 

3/ Contribute to the Upgrade and Governance of Our Forecasting & S&OP Tools (BY Demand / D360 implementation – Apollo Project)

  • Participate in the implementation and upgrade of our demand planning tools, including system testing and data validation (UATs).
  • Ensure new functionalities and system configurations meet business requirements and support planning processes effectively.
  • Monitor and secure data consistency across reports and integrated planning tools.
  • Contribute to the documentation of tools, processes, and data flows implemented during the transformation.
  • Develop and maintain clear guidelines, training materials, and best practices to support adoption of new tools and processes by Demand Planning teams.
  • Help structure and improve knowledge management to ensure long-term governance and accessibility of demand planning methodologies.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Fluent English, with the ability to present and facilitate discussions in English.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and provide business-oriented recommendations.
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in data tools and systems, particularly advanced Excel (VBA is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities, and work effectively within deadlines.
