As Senior manager, FP&A, you will lead analytical insights on business performances, including Countries, Customers and Products drill down with the aim of identifying short and long-term recommendation to pursue Company strategy. You partner with the rest of European Teams (i.e. Country Finance Managers, Regional Marketing, Regional Ecommerce, etc.) and with any other stakeholder in the current Operating Model (i.e. Supply Chain/ “SC”,categories, Innovation Team / Global Business Services “GBS”, etc). Among all Internal Customers Group Finance Team (Group and Functions Controlling, Commercial & Supply Chain Controlling and Corporate Finance) are the most relevant ones to provide clear Business Partner, Compliance and Reporting guidance.
This position reports to Europe Finance Director to fully support the Management team in implementing the business strategy and leads a Team of 2 Regional FP&A Analysts.
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES
- Closing: define Monthly and Yearly Closing Regional deadlines and Reporting deliverables across the European organization and in coordination with Group Finance. Lead monthly Regional closing of management reporting ensuring respect of deadlines & accuracy; Provide insightful Analytical Package and Executive Summary commentaries by leading the Commentary process and Monthly calls with countries. Ensure a follow up and escalation to IT / Group Finance in relation to any roadblocks on Closing process. Provide the very first level of support in case of queries / inputs from Local teams. Direct Responsibility of Closing monthly HQ P&L’s (i.e. Marketplace / HQ Europe cost centers).
- Planning processes: drive the calendar preparation, coordination of all stakeholders (i.e. Country Finance Managers, GSC Teams, RGM, Regional Marketing, etc) and follow up execution of the Operating Plan, Rolling Forecasts and R&Os planning in full alignment with Group Finance instructions and with all impacted stakeholder involvement in the current Operating Model. Define, in coordination with EU Fin Director and EU GMs, the allocation of targets to Clusters and provide recommendations on area of intervention (i.e. Brand Support, OPEX and Gross Profit optimisation ). Consolidate and analyze Country data for the different P&L, BS and supporting schedule of information. Responsible for planning and loading European HQ entities forecasts. Provide support with the production of tools, checks and any other methodology to ensure quality submission and timely delivery. Supervise ad hoc recurring forecast processes (i.e. Monthly Sales Forecast, Outlooks, etc.) with the aim of providing guidance to European Management Team.
- FP&A analysis: work on P&L analysis with the aim of identifying relevant business insights and consequent recommendations. Keep a regular tracking of risk and opps across the Region to ensure corrective measures are considered and recommended and followed up. Support Central European Function (i.e. Sales, Marketing, RGM, Ecommerce, etc.) with the best-in-class analysis also through the ideation and coordination of visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI reporting). Keep a continuous improvement mindset in setting up tools and techniques to track key performance measures for the different categories, products, Clusters (geographical / strategical), and P&L measures. Aim continuously to streamline processes, increase quality and reduce workload; This role partner with Group FP&A, Internal Reporting Factory (GBS) and PBI CoE to identify and provide any relevant tool to local countries to improve their analytical skills.
- Transformation: contribute to the different transformation initiatives (i.e. Phoenix) by actively participating in different workstream / projects (i.e. Integrated Business Planning, R2R Optimization, etc.) and instill the Company Strategical direction to Local Teams.
- RGM: ensure a close collaboration with European RGM Team with the aim of sharing the relevant analysis on Price / Volume / Mix drivers and identifying area of intervention. Facilitate COGS and Gross profit analysis with the aim of supporting Price Increase, special deals and any other RGM related initiative.
- SC partnering. Be the main interlocutor of the Supply Chain organization on Supply & Delivery and Demand topics such as freight and distribution costs analysis, Demand Regional meetings, COGS and packaging analysis and outlooks, slow-moving accruals among many others. S/he provides visibility on financial data, works on main areas of improvement and recommends corrective actions. Lead Closing and Planning process in collaboration with SC representatives through Costs analysis extractions, facilitating Commercial / SC inputs towards local Finance Teams, performing sanity checks between systems (i.e. JDE / S2M) in coordination with Finance Europe Project (FEP) Team.
- Deliver training on FP&A related subjects to drive European Finance Community continuously improving mindset.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance
- 5+ years’ experience in FP&A Roles preferably in CPG companies
- Regional / Global international experience
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, proficiency in French is an asset
- Located in Clichy (near Paris) or available to commute regularly. A remote location might be considered
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and Power BI that allows to create best in class situation analysis and effectively visualize the key insights and storytelling messages attached to it.).
- Advanced knowledge of transactional and reporting tools such as JDE, HFM, Anaplan, Hubble, Cognos is a plus.
