JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking dynamic & creative EU eCommerce Content & Digital Shelf Operations Manager to drive creative excellence, operational efficiency, and measurable impact across all eCommerce content touchpoints within the European region. You will serve as the connective link between global strategies and local market execution – ensuring that content and digital shelf experiences not only align to our brand standards but also deliver against commercial goals.
Acting as a key member of the regional eCommerce function, the role oversees regional content planning, production, localisation, and syndication, while providing oversight and governance across digital shelf performance in partnership with global and local teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Development & Operations (=75%)
- Lead the regional eCommerce content strategy across product pages, brand stores, and retailer assets, ensuring creative consistency, localisation quality, and commercial alignment.
- Manage and oversee the regional creative development & syndication trackers – organising and balancing regional priorities & efficiencies with local market needs.
- Establish and maintain content governance frameworks (naming conventions, version control, asset metadata, etc.) to ensure quality, searchability & reusability within the content ecosystem (PIM/ DAL).
- Partner with global and regional marketing, content and brand teams to adapt global toolkits and brand assets for regional suitability and relevance.
- Collaborate with and lead agencies to manage regional content production and localisation budgets, timelines and quality controls.
- Champion best-in-class content standards for hero images, A+ content, videos & product copy, guided by retailer & consumer insights.
- Support and advocate for the deployment & maintenance of content management & syndication platforms (PIM/ DAL, etc.), ensuring efficient workflows and governance compliance.
- Be comfortable in your curiosity of the content ecosystem – how does it work and how can it be improved?
- Digital Shelf Governance & Oversight (=25%)
- Act as the regional point of contact for digital shelf operations, ensuring alignment between markets, global teams, and service providers.
- Partner with global and local Digital Shelf Operations contacts to ensure content readiness and performance standards are consistently met.
- Translate insights from performance report into actional creative and operational recommendations for content improvement.
- Support education and enablement of markets on interpreting and applying digital shelf data effectively.
- Regional Collaboration and Governance
- Act as a central point of contact between global and local eCommerce teams, ensuring alignment of priorities and consistent execution.
- Support rollout of governance frameworks, workflows, and training to improve regional efficiency and elevate creative quality.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure seamless content delivery and measurable business impact.
- Advocate for regional needs within global forums and drive continuous improvements through feedback and shared learnings.
Experience and Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in content management, digital marketing or related fields. Experience within eCommerce, FMCG, consumer goods, or retail would be highly beneficial.
- Strong copywriting and copyediting skills, with exceptional attention to detail and brand tone consistency.
- Proven ability to manage creative workflows, localisation processes, and cross-market collaboration.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience using content syndication and product information platforms such as Salsify (or equivalent PIM) and digital assets libraries such as Acquia (or equivalent DAL).
- Solid understanding of digital shelf principles and KPIs, with experience working with platform provides & agencies.
- Highly skilled in stakeholder management able to influence across global, regional and local levels.
- English as mothertongue is essential. Additional European languages are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and commercial mindset, with the ability to connect creative excellence to performance outcomes.
- Comfortable in asking why and challenging that status quo where needed.
