What You’ll do:
- Accountable for Flame for Life (Lighters), Human Expression (Stationery) and Blade Excellence (Shavers) categories for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), with responsibility for in-depth category and shopper understanding and insights at a micro and macro level
- Analyse category/segment performance using customer, consumer, shopper and macro environment data and sources for internal and external reporting
- Develop and implement tools for sales and marketing support i.e. reports / analysis of data as required by key stakeholders, including sourcing, formatting and updating various databases / cubes / software systems with latest information (incl. but not limited to GFK, NIQ and PowerBi)
- Proactively deliver compelling insights, arguments and recommendations to key stakeholders (both internal and external) that help to grow both the broader category but also BIC’s share, sales and profit within the category, including participating in customer meetings
- Drive ad hoc local market research, monitor competitive activity and analyse data, in order to identify and better serve shoppers’ needs
- Be the voice of the shopper and customer in internal meetings with Sales and Marketing teams to aid the development of channel and brand strategies and improve our product activation
- Identify appropriate case studies and research studies from other countries to share with and potentially implement in DACH
- Manage local agency relationships, driving them to provide value-added account service, accurate data and insightful presentations
- Prepare, implement & monitor CatMan budget for any key projects you may be managing (liaison with rest of local and global teams to ensure tracking & forecasting is accurate).
What we’re looking for in you:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field
- You have 3+ years of experience as a Category manager in the FMCG industry
- You are a professional in data analysis and using various analytics tools (incl. MS Office with Excel, PowerPoint)
- You have an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making
- You’ve developed presentation skills and are able to build and present compelling trade selling stories
- You show strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (customers, agencies,…)
- You are flexible to adapt to the changing market dynamics, consumer preferences and organizational priorities
- Fluency in German and English is a must
