The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for keeping all the machinery, equipment for assembly area in proper functioning and good conditions to operate and to achieve production volumes required by our customers, managing the resources, developing the assembly technical team, planning and controlling expenses of the area and working in collaboration with all operational and support area.
Assura the preventive maintenance and identifying opportunities of improvement of machines performance. Define/co-define priorities for the assembly technical team to support the operation through corrective maintenance, analysis and actions focus on performance of machine and process in short and long term.
Principal Responsibilities:
- To define the strategy of maintenance for assembly machines to contribute to maintain production volume, including improvements, refurbishment and benchmark with other plants.
- To coordinate and assure the execution of all the preventive maintenance program for assembly areas established according to the routines, instructions and procedures.
- To reduce the downtime on machinery & equipment in order to keep the productivity and efficiency targets, through systematic data analysis, applying problem-solving technics.
- To validate good receiving, installation & starting up all the new machinery & equipment for assembly areas.
- To work in collaboration with procurement to develop local contractors and specialist machine shops to repair, fixed and manufacturing tooling and mechanical parts in order to get flexibility and quick respond when the operations require.
- To implement and communicate the necessary strategies and indicators to accomplish the business goals, KPIs, and follow and share not only the direct ones for assembly maintenance but for all plant operation performance, having ownership of the operation/business for Saltillo site as other managers.
- To develop necessary procedures to guarantee the requirements to Management Quality systems, environmental, safety and health.
- To continuously work to identify opportunities of improvement to enhance the plant performance, save cost and improve quality.
- To plan and maintain & control in good levels (Max & Min) stock of spare parts needed for the factory operation.
- Establish appropriate methods, procedures & discipline to keep in good condition all the machinery and equipment, also in collaboration with operation, quality to make sure the whole operation maintains the good performance of machines and quality of the products.
- To plan the expenses, including spare parts, services, headcount resources in the OPEX preparation and adjustment in the RFs cycle, focus on finance control and have the proper resources to keep assembly machines operating continuously.
- In collaboration with EHS team, to plan and execute activities to improve and/or correct the machine and process safety conditions for assembly areas.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (industrial, mechanical, electrical or equivalent).
- 3+ years job experience in management in maintenance techniques, skills of mechanical, electrical and engineering.
- Desirable experience in Plastic Injection and Ensemble
- Good abilities to communicate planning & to follow tasks, and prove to solve complex technical issues, master problem solve skill – structured thinking.
- Collaborative approach, focus on sustainable results.
- Managerial experience, balancing technical and people approach
- Spanish and English fluency is required.
- Able to work in a dynamic environment, to work in teamwork/ collaboration.
- Continuous improvement.
