Purpose of the role
To identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the Stationery Channel, with a primary focus on schools, educational institutions, and institutional customers. The role is responsible for expanding BIC’s presence in untapped accounts by promoting and selling the Human Expression (Writing Instruments) portfolio, building long-term customer relationships, and achieving incremental sales growth through structured prospecting and execution.
Responsibilities
- New Business Development:
Identify and prospect new customers within the educational and institutional segments, including schools, school networks, distributors, and institutional buyers.
- Sales Execution:
Present and sell BIC’s Stationery portfolio, ensuring correct product recommendation, pricing, and commercial conditions according to approved guidelines.
- Customer Acquisition:
Manage the full sales cycle for new accounts, from lead generation and customer onboarding to first orders and follow-up.
- Relationship Building:
Establish strong relationships with decision-makers (school administrators, buyers, procurement teams) to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Pipeline Management:
Build and maintain an updated pipeline of new business opportunities, tracking progress and conversion rates.
- Market Intelligence:
Gather market and customer insights related to needs, volumes, seasonality, and competitive activity.
- Coordination:
Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure correct setup, availability, and service for new customers
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.

1–3 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or New Business acquisition, preferably within consumer goods or B2B environments.

Experience selling to schools, institutions, or B2B customers is a strong plus.

Strong prospecting and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead to conversion.

Results-oriented mindset with strong follow-up and execution discipline.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Basic analytical skills to manage pipeline and sales reporting.
