Act as Group Total Rewards point of contact for the HR community in LAM
Major Duties / Responsibilities of Job
- Actively manage Compensation & Benefits in Mexico, Brazil and the broader Latin American region, driving simplification and harmonization across sites in direct partnership with business partners
- Build a collaborative partnership with the LAM HR community, ensuring upskilling of the local HR team on C&B related topics including responsible management of labor costs in line with the Company direction.
- Ensure that the Group position levelling structure is understood and respected, and act as the central point of contact for any new positions that might need to be created and levelled.
- Lead yearly salary review for white-collar workers and corporate bonus process in LAM
- In line with the Group Compensation Policy, review, challenge and validate compensation packages for internal mobility, off cycle increases and recruitment before they get sent to the Business Unit HR leader and Group Total Rewards VP.
- Ensure implementation of Global Rewards initiatives (Long Term Incentive plans, global wellbeing initiatives…)
- Ensure application of International Mobility policies in the Region
- Actively participate in the corporate Total Rewards team, contributing to global projects, ensuring that local legal requirements are taken into account and sharing experience.
Knowledge, Experience, and Education
- Master degree Business Management or Business Law or HR
- A minimum of 8 years in a Total Rewards position in a multinational company
- At ease working in a matrix organization, and capable of strong influence and leadership across the matrix. This position is the guardian of the Total Rewards policies in the region and needs to be comfortable with challenging the opinions business leaders and HR business partners, holding a firm standpoint, while coaching teams to learn and grow into doing for themselves.
- Personal international experience – preference will be given to candidates who have lived and worked outside of the LAM region, and are capable of bringing to the organization a different perspective on ways of working, taking into account the cultural perspective of the region and that of the fast-moving pace of an global FMCG company.
- The role requires someone who is capable of strategic thinking whilst being happy to roll-up their sleeves and do the work. This is an individual contributor, with no team, but who is also part of the global Total Rewards team.
- Inter-personal skills: ability to build rapport and gain credibility at all levels of the organization, while holding firm on principles.
- Inter-cultural awareness and sensitivity, ability to adapt to other cultures in order to build effective working relationships with BIC contacts worldwide while maintaining the fast moving pace of a global firm.
- Communication: capable of simplifying and explaining complex technical concepts and ideas to the broader HR community, with clarity around the process as well as upskilling on the why.
- Client focus: continuous review and improvement in efficiency, organization and services offered
- Time management: ability to prioritize tasks and to deliver effectively to deadlines
- Forensical attention to detail, high level data skills (Excel is a minimum), curiosity to the use cases of AI to improve efficiency
- Finance and accounting acumen
- Networking: ability to effectively build an internal and external network to share best practices and specialist knowledge in order to benchmark and guarantee competitiveness of policies
