Purpose of the Job
The Quality Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, health, and environmental protection in accordance with Saltillo Plant’s Integral Policy. The role drives the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and customer requirements. This position requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership abilities to manage the quality team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Establish and communicate strategies and KPIs to meet business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Design, develop, and implement robust quality processes to assure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

Use statistical analysis and data-driven methods to monitor process performance, identify trends, and proactively address potential quality issues.

Lead and support the Quality Inspectors team, providing technical guidance and personal development support.

Coordinate with the Plant Team to implement action plans to reduce or eliminate non-conformities that may risk product quality.

Take timely decisions regarding non-conforming products, materials, shipments, and urgent materials.

Determine, implement, and maintain quality controls across processes, continuously improving performance and developing Quality Control Plans.

Lead problem-solving initiatives and drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Collaborate with teams on new packaging material validation, ensuring compliance with established quality requirements.

Lead and support new product, machine, and process validation activities, including protocol development, testing, analysis, and implementation of improvements.

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Required Profile
Education:
-
Engineering Degree (Industrial, Chemical, or similar).
Experience:
-
3–5 years as a Quality Process Engineer or in a similar manufacturing/production role.

Proven expertise in plastic injection processes.

Familiarity with Quality standards and processes (ISO 9001).
Technical Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).

Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop corrective actions.

Fluent written and spoken English.
