The Role
This is a senior, hands-on maternity cover role at a pivotal point in our business. Following our acquisition by BIC in December 2024, the Head of People Experience will play a critical role in stabilizing, integrating and optimizing our people operations, systems and employee experience across the UK and US.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end people experience, while leading a major HR systems and integration programme, including:

Sunsetting HiBob as our current HRIS

Supporting the implementation, adoption and embedding of BIC’s global HRIS (SuccessFactors)

Delivering change management, communication and training
-
Leading people-related integration works post-acquisition
This is an operationally strong, commercially minded people leadership role, supporting the People Director.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
-
Lead, coach and develop the People Advisor and Senior Office Experience & Events Manager, ensuring the smooth running of all people operations across the UK & US.

Own and oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.

Continuously improve people processes, policies and procedures in line with business needs and our Values (Proud, Authentic, Champions).

Oversee UK & US payroll (monthly and bi-monthly) in partnership with Finance.

Maintain and enhance people-related compliance across both regions including:

Right to work checks
-
Annual compliance training
-
Health & Safety obligations
-
Own relationships with benefits brokers and ensure benefits remain competitive and compliant.

Oversee office management and internal events, supporting culture, wellbeing and engagement.
HRIS, Systems & Integration
This role will take full ownership of our People technology transition and post-acquisition people systems integration, including:

Leading the sunset of HiBob, ensuring:
-
Data accuracy, cleansing and migration
-
Minimal disruption to employee experience
-
Acting as the People lead for implementation and adoption of BIC’s HRIS (SuccessFactors), working closely with BIC HR & Technology teams, Internal Finance, IT and Leadership

Supporting data mapping, systems alignment and policy harmonisation.

Designing and delivering change management, communications and training for people team, line managers, empoyees
- Building sustainable people processes that can scale post-integration and are fully embedded in the new HRIS.
Business Partnering & Organizational Effectiveness

Act as a trusted partner to Heads of Department and Senior Managers in the UK

Support and coach leaders through:

Employee relations matters
-
Organizational change and workforce planning
-
Lead and embed:
-
The annual performance, compensation & talent cycle
-
Job levelling framework and development planning
-
Workforce planning
-
Oversee engagement surveys, insights reporting, and action planning with SLT.

Proactively lead internal communications during a high-change period.
Learning, Development & Capability

Support the People Director in the roll-out of learning & development initiatives.

Build and deliver manager tools and training, including:

Manager induction
-
Giving feedback
-
Performance management
-
Ensure leaders feel confident navigating change, performance and integration challenges.
What We Are Looking for In You:
-
Proven experience in a senior People role, ideally in a scaling business.
-
Strong operational People leadership combined with credible commercial business partnering.
-
Demonstrated experience leading HRIS implementation, optimization or integration projects.
-
Experience with SuccessFactors is preferred.
-
Exposure with system migrations, acquisitions or post-merger integration is highly desirable.

Understanding change management and L&D delivery.
-
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law; US exposure advantageous.

Comfortable operating in ambiguity, pace and transformation.

Experience in a hybrid/flexible work environment.

Strong leadership and coaching capability.

Highly organized, solutions-focused and delivery-driven.

Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels.
