BIC Supports Humanitarian Initiatives Led by Team Members
Across BIC World team members are engaging in humanitarian initiatives that support children, education, and local communities — and the Foundation is proud to support these efforts through product donations and practical resources.
Recently, two inspiring projects led by our colleagues highlighted how collective support can help create meaningful change.
In Burundi, our Cécile Piquard, FP&A Project Manager, took part in a humanitarian mission in Bujumbura, contributing to the construction of an orphanage for 350 Congolese children displaced by conflict. Alongside local teams and volunteers, she supported several stages of the project, from groundwork to construction. To support the initiative, the BIC Corporate Foundation provided product donations that will help equip children with essential learning tools.
Reflecting on her experience, Cécile shared:
"Their resilience, dedication, and generosity were a constant source of inspiration… I would like to sincerely thank the BIC Foundation for its support and product donation, which will help these children continue building their future.”
In Kenya, our colleague Sachin Raghavan Data Analyst, (from Tangle Teezer), together with friends, led an initiative supporting more than 600 students across two schools through educational workshops and the distribution of school supplies. The project included activities focused on personal development, financial literacy, and health awareness.
Thanks to the Foundation’s facilitation of pens, pencils, and highlighters, students received essential tools to support their studies and everyday learning activities.
These initiatives reflect how employee engagement, combined with collective support, can help create meaningful and lasting impact around the world. Through these projects, the BIC Corporate Foundation is proud to support team members who are committed to making a difference beyond the workplace.
