Fair Play Workshop Launches NEW Caregiver ERG in North America

As a part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace for all members of Team BIC, we are proud to launch a new Caregiver employee resource group (ERG) in North America!

With six ERGs already established, this new Caregivers group aims to offer community, resources and support to individuals who are caring for children, elderly family members or others.

To kick-off the launch of the Caregiver ERG, Shelton-based team members were invited to participate in a 2-day workshop hosted by Mary Beth Ferrante, workplace culture expert from WRK/360, and Fred Van Riper, leadership coach, consultant and host of the podcast “Dads Interrupted”.

Discussion topics were rooted in the research highlighted within the Fair Play Method, which outlines a system for how to divide up household tasks fairly, based on individual and familial needs. During the session attendees learned about:

  • Cultural norms in the home and workplace
  • Methods to create an equitable domestic workload
  • Strategies to prioritize self-care and empowerment

When asked to reflect on these sessions, here’s what two members of Team BIC had to say:

Attending the Fair Play workshop was a valuable experience that inspired many of us to bring these efficiencies into the way we work and collaborate, but also to how we show up at home. It has helped me make positive changes both personally and professionally, allowing me to live a more balanced life and reconnect with my ‘why’.” -

Having a forum and community to reflect on how to manage priorities, share experiences and feel understood is a powerful platform to improve the well-being of our teams.  I am excited to learn more about my peers' experiences and resources available to me, so that I can bring the best version of myself to the workplace and for my family.” -
