Growing Your Family, Growing Your Role: Embracing Every Season of Parenthood at BIC World

At BIC World, we believe that our purpose goes far beyond the office walls. We know that our team members bring their whole selves to work every day, and their lives outside of BIC World enrich the culture inside it. One of the most profound chapters in many of our team members' lives is the journey of parenthood—a journey that is as beautiful as it is demanding.

Whether you are welcoming your first child, navigating the toddler years, or balancing a busy household, BIC World is committed to supporting you through every single phase. This Season of Parenthood, we sat down with two of our incredible team members, Thais, e-Commerce Manager, Brazil and Gonzalo, Finance & Commercial Manager, Argentina to learn how personal milestones and professional growth beautifully coexist when supported by a culture of flexibility, trust, and inclusion.

Part 1: Meeting Thais – Embracing New Beginnings with Confidence

Q: Becoming a parent is a massive life transition. How did you feel about entering this new "season" while maintaining your career at BIC World?

Thais: "Becoming a mother shifts your perspective completely, and entering a new season of parenthood naturally brings a mix of excitement and questions about balance. For me, that transition started even before my first day on the job. I was pregnant during the recruitment process, which can often be a source of anxiety for professionals looking to make a career move. But having an employer that recognizes and celebrates your growth from day one is invaluable. At BIC, I didn't have to choose between being the present mother I wanted to be and the ambitious professional I am."

Q: How did the team and the company culture support you practically during this time?

Thais: "The supportive parental leave policies and a truly empathetic team allowed me to step into this new season with dedication and balance. At BIC World, supporting working mothers means more than just providing time off; it’s about creating an environment where we can return to our roles feeling empowered, valued, and ready to lead."

Part 2: Meeting Gonzalo – Balancing Growth on Both Fronts

Q: At BIC World, we talk a lot about flexibility. What does that actually look like for you as a working father?

Gonzalo: "Being a present father while managing my professional responsibilities requires a culture built on trust. At BIC World, flexibility isn't just a policy on paper—it’s lived every day. Whether it's adjusting my schedule for a school milestone or knowing my team has my back, BIC World gives me the space to be there for my family while continuing to drive meaningful impact in my career."

Q: How do you feel your role as a parent influence or adds value to your day-to-day work?

Gonzalo: "Parenthood teaches you a lot about resilience, empathy, and strategic problem-solving. Bringing those unique strengths into my professional role allows me to look at challenges differently. It’s incredibly rewarding to work for a company where these personal growth milestones are viewed as an asset to our global workplace culture."

Parents Add Everyday Impact

We firmly believe that the skills cultivated through parenthood are invaluable enterprise capabilities. Our working parents don't just manage their households; they bring unique strengths to our business, driving innovation and fostering a more collaborative workplace.

No matter what season of life or parenthood you find yourself in, BIC World is committed to providing the resources, flexibility, and global community you need to thrive both at home and at work. Because when our parents are supported, our entire team grows stronger.
