Honoring Caregivers at BIC: Supporting Those Who Care for Others
Every November, BIC proudly joins the global recognition of National Caregivers Month - a time to celebrate, support, and elevate those who dedicate themselves to caring for others.
At BIC, we know that behind every great idea, innovation, and act of impact are team members balancing many roles - colleagues, friends, parents, and caregivers. Through our CARE ERG, we’re creating space to share stories, exchange resources, and foster a culture of compassion that empowers caregivers to thrive both personally and professionally.
"CARE has been a supportive forum for discussions about tough topics related to family, children, and self care. It also has provided real life tips namely around food prep and meal planning that have helped me with practical inspiration. I have really appreciated the CARE community and have enjoyed getting to know individuals who are dealing with or have dealt with similar challenges around caring for folks in our lives. "
- Olivia Arnold, VP Sales
The Role of the CARE ERG
The CARE ERG was created to recognize the diverse experiences of caregivers at BIC and to provide an open forum for connection, advocacy, and support. Throughout the year, CARE drives initiatives that help team members:
- Access resources and education on balancing work and caregiving responsibilities
- Build a community of empathy and understanding across regions and roles
- Encourage open conversations about wellbeing, flexibility, and inclusion
"Being part of CARE has energized my desire to find stronger balance between work and family and that there are so many team members who are in a similar situation and want to provide support and engagement. I have also been educated about the range of what CARE truly represents and that it goes beyond parents but includes caring for elderly, friends, the community, and furry family members."
- Nathan Fox, HR Director
Our Ongoing Commitment
At BIC, supporting caregivers reflects our broader belief in creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued. Whether through flexible work arrangements, community programs, or peer-led initiatives like CARE, our goal is to make sure every team member has the resources and understanding they need to succeed.
"CARE has been a meaningful source of connection and encouragement, connecting me with a supportive community of parents and caregivers who understand the realities of caregiving while managing a career."
- Leonora Gelevic, Manager HR Projects
