As Health & Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing hazard engineering controls for all activities of the facility.

 

Your main missions will be following:

 

  • Designs, implements, monitors, and controls preventive safety measures
  • Investigates incidents and recommends action plans to prevent reoccurrence
  • Conducts hazard analysis and risk assessment per job description
  • Ensure contractors compliance with safety requirements and guidelines
  • Co-operate with health visitors and occupational doctors to improve working conditions
  • Designs and implements emergency procedures and conducts evacuation drills
  • Keeps updated information concerning national and EU safety legislation
  • Carries out safety walks and safety watches to minimize hazards and risks
  • Conducts safety training for all employees  
  • Ensures compliance with Group directions and safety KPI
  • Liaising with external regulatory authorities
  • Maintains ISO 45001 safety management system  

 

What you bring to BIC:

 

  • B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering considered as a prerequisite
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in the industrial field
  • Licensed from Technical Chamber of Greece
  • Registered in Greek Labor Authorities (SEPE)
  • Familiar with ISO 45001   
  • Advanced knowledge of English language (both written and verbal)
  • Advanced PC literacy
  • Strong soft skills, specifically verbal communication, writing and presentation
