HR Generalist

Our HR Generalist will play an important role in ensuring that our employees can perform to their full potential by shaping the employee experience and delivering best-in-class support to our organization.  

  

In this position you will work in conjunction with the HR Business Partner to serve your business teams by supporting and developing, implementing, and executing dynamic HR programs. You will be a trusted partner who will coach team members in the areas of career development, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, learning and development, compliance, and talent acquisition. We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist who can be an advisor and resource to employees, influence-without-authority, and identify creative HR solutions to support our business.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the HRBP to provide expertise and one-on-one employee support in the following areas : performance management, employee relations, coaching, learning and development, compliance, employee engagement and talent acquisition.  

  • Implement, maintain the integrity of, and communicate changes to HR policies and practices through continuous interaction with employees and teams.  

  • Provide and lead day-to-day support to all oniste BIC employees that include but not limited to ; employee benefits, payroll inquiries, attendance tracking, planning engagement events, DE&I activities, temporary agency support, etc. 

  • Support front-line supervisons team members growth and development  

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in the areas of Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Benefits, and Payroll to carry out BIC-wide people strategies and programs.  

  • Responsible for managing the administration of position management and creating all job requisitions for job postings for Charlotte. Initiate and manage new hire and onboarding process. 

  • Foster an inclusive workplace.   

  • Coordinate and execute the company employee engagement events including managing the engagement budget, ordering supplies, and creating communications. 

  • Manage/support local FMLA, STD, FLSA and other HR issues as appropriate.  Provide visible HR support for Charlotte, building and maintaining strong relationships with local management and staff.  Manage Workers Compensation and Benefits for all Charlotte employees.  

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and own data entry for Charlotte team inlcuding employee data changes including promotions, terminations, and position changes.  

  • Participate in projects at the HR-wide and business team level.  

 

Qualifications : 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field  

  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role; experience in a manufacturing or distribution center is a plus  

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion  

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite  

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills including time management  

  • Ability to lead without direct authority  

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision  

  • Strong team player with high bias to action and accountability  

  • Is a self-starter and willing to roll up his/her sleeves; takes initiative, is proactive and detail oriented.  

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and often-changing environment : Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize quickly.  

  • Experience and exposure to a variety of HR facets including employee engagement, talent management and development, performance management, and learning and development.  

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
