Job Summary:

As a Senior Manager in Supply Chain Project Management, you will be at the forefront of leading high-value, high-visibility projects across the Americas. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in project governance, management, and M&A due diligence. You will spearhead project ideation, planning, and execution, while also managing cross-functional teams and external partners. Your expertise in project design, risk management, and stakeholder communication will drive successful outcomes within deadlines and budget constraints.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Governance:

  • Lead strategic project ideation, business case development, operational assessments, and planning for high-value projects.
  • Conduct analysis to align initiatives within the Americas Portfolio.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for internal and external partners within the Americas.
  • Evaluate and validate equipment and operational specifications/design.
  • Facilitate project development from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee team members, set deadlines, designate assignments, and monitor project progress.
  • Track project progress, summarize results, and communicate effectively with management, clients, and stakeholders.

Project Management:

  • Lead projects through all phases, managing timelines, people, suppliers, contractors, purchase orders, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal functions such as IT, Procurement, Operations, Planning, and Customer Excellence, as well as external partners as required.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution.
  • Manage staffing and resource needs to maximize successful project execution.
  • Define project objectives and scope, involving internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk analysis to minimize unforeseen obstacles and costs.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, parameters, and budget expectations.
  • Perform periodic scope, schedule, and cost reviews to identify necessary adjustments.
  • Measure project performance and progress throughout execution.
  • Manage client and stakeholder expectations to maintain productive relationships.
  • Document project activities, obstacles, costs, and results.
  • Delegate tasks based on team members' strengths and experience.
  • Provide summarized project plans to departmental managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in continual learning to stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging standards.
  • Collaborate with and lead teams to deliver results on schedule and within budget limits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

M&A Due Diligence:

  • Lead and conduct analysis for potential acquisitions, evaluating operational efficiency, processes, systems, and performance indicators.
  • Assess scalability and identify opportunities for improvement within the supply chain.
  • Define synergies with BIC's current supply chain to leverage existing pipelines and reduce costs.
  • Draft comprehensive reports on due diligence findings for presentation to the Executive Committee.

People Management/Cross-Functional Engagement:

  • Develop and manage KPIs and Capex portfolios, overseeing an annual budget of $10+ million.
  • Lead training development and mentorship for Continuous Improvement Managers, Digital Enablement Managers, Structural Engineers, and project managers in the LAM region.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in project management within supply chain; significant exposure to high-value projects and M&A due diligence preferred.
  • Proven track record in project design, planning, and execution, with experience in cross-functional and external partner coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct risk analysis and create detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in managing stakeholder expectations and providing project summaries.
  • Experience managing large Capex portfolios and developing KPIs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in training and mentoring within a project management context.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
