Bic Blade Tech is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to lead and strengthen its commercial function. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the customer acquisition strategy, expanding the business development bandwidth, and driving the company’s growth in line with its strategic objectives. This role is critical to ensuring BBT continues to build strong relationships with key partners and penetrate high-value markets such as beauty care, FMCG, and ideally, the wet shave industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Business Development Function:
- Manage, mentor, and support the two existing business developers to drive customer acquisition and ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Customer Acquisition & Growth:
- Develop and implement a professional methodology for customer acquisition, focusing on high-value beauty care markets.
- Build a robust pipeline of new opportunities in line with BBT’s strategic priorities.
- Collaboration with BIC Commercial Teams:
- Serve as the primary liaison between BBT and BIC’s commercial teams, ensuring alignment on business development strategies and expanding BBT’s reach.
- Market Knowledge & Expansion:
- Identify and seize new opportunities in FMCG, beauty care, and other relevant markets, leveraging a deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends.
- Develop partnerships that align with BBT’s focus on customized shaving solutions and wellness-driven product lines.
- Sales Performance & Commercial Strategy:
- Achieve targeted revenue and profit goals through effective sales management and strategic account development.
- Ensure a focus on premium markets and customized solutions, working closely with customers to drive value-added products such as skincare-focused shaving lines.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Provide regular performance reports to the General Manager, including updates on key business metrics, customer acquisition strategies, and long-term growth forecasts.
- Utilize data and insights to continually optimize business development strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in FMCG: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the FMCG sector, with a focus on beauty care markets. Experience in the wet shave industry is highly desirable.
- Proven Commercial Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead and grow business development functions with a proven track record in customer acquisition and relationship building.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing a team of business developers, mentoring and driving team performance.
- Flexibility & Energy: Highly adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, taking initiative and energizing others.
- Collaborative: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with internal teams, particularly BIC commercial functions, to drive business synergy and growth.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Able to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial metrics and business development strategies, with experience in driving premium market growth.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
