Job Description
As member of the European marketing team, the role contributes to the development and delivery of the Blade Excellence business agenda. In partnership with Group Insights and Innovation, Group HQ Sales team's and country Marketing & Sales teams across Europe, the Europe Product Manager Blade Excellence & BodyMark contributes to translate the category long-term marketing strategy into regional plans, to identify and build relevant and scalable marketing projects across Europe and to support countries in their plans implementation.
Key expectations for this role will be:
- For the assigned projects and product segments (to be defined) drive Blade Excellence business growth, identify challenges and opportunities to fuel GI&I Long term Innovations strategy plans with relevant and scalable European insights.
- Provide input on GI&I Blade Excellence innovation initiatives, contribute to building regional business case before roll-out, deliver artwork production on specific European SKU’s while ensuring synergies in pack ranges.
- Ensure effective implementation of the category long-term strategy defined by GI&I, adapting it to the countries specificities.
- Identify scalable best practices across Europe and accordingly build a cost-effective centralized approach when relevant.
- Identify and quantify potential needs for European countries not addressed by GI&I initiatives, build a case and develop/implement action plan.
- Based on above considerations, build Blade Excellence Marketing plans to boost category performance and address challenges.
- Support countries in the implementation of those plans, focusing on an ROI approach by targeting fewer but bigger activities:
- Develop promotional/activation platforms, ensuring synergies across countries.
- Define a clear and optimized regional assortment strategy per channel.
- Optimize Mktg Mix of new launches and key Product Platforms
- Contribute to building a Blade Excellence Marketing community across Europe and guaranteeing strong team dynamics through regular communication.
- Supports the Europe leaders into deploying the European strategy for Body Mark delivered by GI&I
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-year successful experience within Marketing / Commercial / Category Management / Business Development, with exposure to several markets.
- Strong listening skills, to collect both formal data (panels, research, sell-in, P&Ls) and informal data (collective knowledge of the Bic organization across countries).
- Highly analytical. Able to triangulate data, to make sense of Europe country and channel complexity, and to spot the priority growth opportunities and projects.
- Highly articulate, able to synthesize information in strongly convincing messages, both verbally and in a written form. Has strong financial acumen to determine ROI of projects even with incomplete data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to ‘sell’ your analyses and projects vision at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to be strategic and operational. Strong bias for action.
- Highly pragmatic and results-oriented. Operational mindset, decisive in tackling issues, flexible to adapt to quickly changing environments.
- High energy and resilience
- Fluent business English. Command of more languages is a plus.
