JOB DESCRIPTION

 

As Market Insight Manager of the Flame For Life division attached to the Marketing team you will have a key role to bring market and consumer insights within a global scope to our lighters business leaders.

 

Your role includes:

  • Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective consumers’ preferences

  • Develop Competition Surveillance capabilities

    • Collect, organize & centralize data (internal & existing researches) that are critical for the business management of the Lighter category worldwide,

    • Actively seek and mine additional and non-traditional resources for deeper insights covering tobacco consumption, but also other flame-related categories (candles, gas cookers,…)

  • Drive consumers’ research to generate insights & support innovation (concept test, U&A …)

    • Implement research plan, launch new researches or coordinate research roll-out, according to BIC « Research Standards », in close collaboration with lighter group teams & markets

    • Execute quantitative studies, including questionnaire development and survey programming

    • Manage qualitative studies, including screener development and focus-group or ethnography materials

  • Coordinate research learnings with markets and collect critical information that might be useful for better business understanding and/or giving perspective to research outcomes, as to enrich global knowledge.

  • Extract superior intelligence out of combined sources of information (Internal sales, retail panels & audits, consumer & shopper studies, retailers insights…), connecting dots (causal relationships between & amongst findings)

  • Provide actionable insights & recommendations to build strong commercial plans.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in a Quantitative field – statistics, quantitative psychology, economics, mathematics

  • 3+ years progressive experience in market research,

  • Fluency in English

  • Strong MS Office knowledge with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Data-driven decision-making mindset

  • Strong quantitative skills and data interpretation skills

  • Effective project management

  • Teamwork mindset

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Business partnership mind – Understand business needs and operationalize into analytical solutions
