The Role
As Tangle Teezers Senior Manager, Human Resources you will be a highly visible and influential leader, both internally and externally, championing a culture of positive employee engagement.
This role works closely with the CEO in setting the cultural tone of the organisation providing expert leadership to the People function, embedding best-in-class people practices that enhance employee experience, nurture our creative talent, and future-proof our organisation for continued success.
Since 2024 Tangle Teezer now has the backing of BIC and our team have been working through a period of change, creating synergies with the BIC organization wherever possible. In this role you’ll be heavily involved in continuing to support this change programme with our people and the organisation. Partnering with our colleagues at BIC, you’ll work through the integration plan and be adept at landing these changes with Tangle Teezer employees in the smoothest possible way whilst ensuring that the day to day running of the business isn’t impacted.
- HR Business Partnering: Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, ensuring strong people advisory relationships and embedding best-in-class people practices.
- People Operations & HR Processes: Oversee the move from our current people processes, from payroll and benefits to employee relations and policy management.
- Performance & Compensation: Managing the transition from current core people programs including performance and feedback processes, compensation frameworks, and reward structures to align with BICs processes.
- Supporting the sunset of our HRIS (HiBob) and move to BICs HRIS (Success Factors)
- Engagement & Retention: Champion initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including structured feedback processes, values awards and manager capability development.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple geographies, managing risk while maintaining an agile and business-friendly HR approach.
- Data & People Analytics: Track and analyse key HR metrics (e.g., attrition, engagement, hiring velocity) to inform business decisions and People outcomes.
- Learning & Development: working with the central BIC team to understand how Tangle Teezer can leverage their global management and leadership programmes.
- Internal Communications: you’ll be experienced at communicating changes in an engaging format to the business, regularly presenting at our monthly Townhall meetings and driving this agenda with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Leadership & Team Development: Manage and mentor the People Team, including Talent Lead, People Lead (US) Head of People Experience, People Advisor and Office & Events Manager, ensuring alignment with Tangle Teezers business objectives and culture.
What we are looking for in you:
- Proven experience in a senior HR/People role, partnering and driving discussions with senior leadership
- Strong business partnering skills, an ability to facilitate getting things done.
- Happy bouncing between operational and strategic work, at ease with the doing as much as the planning.
- Experience partnering a leadership team through a period of change, understanding how to articulate these changes to the business.
- Experience in a scale up environment and ability to manage matrix organizations
- Successful experience working in an international environment (UK, US and beyond)
- Exceptional communication skills and relationship management skills.
- Project management skills, able to see the bigger picture and translate this into actionable tasks for your team.
- Experience working within a hybrid/flexible work environment, agile approach, happy operating in ambiguity.
- Some experience and knowledge of HRIS platforms
- Preferably experience overseeing facilities/office management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a team.
- A deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of developing and executing successful people initiatives.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for building a positive workplace culture.
