Principal Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for safety, quality health and environmental protection, in accordance to Saltillo´s Plant Integral Policy.  
  • Stablishes and communicates the necessary strategies and KPI´s to comply with the business objectives and customer satisfaction.  
  • Implements systems that promote continuous improvement and a strong culture towards Quality.
  • Designs, develops & implements robust quality processes and systems to assure compliance with quality standards, regulations & customer requirements,
  • Utilizes statistical analysis and data- driven methods to monitor and evaluate process performance, identifying trends, and proactively addresses potential quality concerns.  
  • Leading the Quality Inspectors team, providing technical & personal support.
  • Demonstrate technical abilities to assure Quality throughout the processes & personal abilities to manage people, as well as internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate with the Plant Team, actions plans to reduce or eliminate non-conformities that can lead to risk the product quality.
  • Take timely decisions regarding non-conforming product, materials, shipments, urgent materials.
  • Coordinate efforts between areas, to inspect products, or in case re work is needed.
  • Determines, implements & maintains Quality Controls on the different processes, to continuously improve its performance, developing Quality Control Plans.
  • Leads problem -solving initiatives and drives successful outcomes in a fast – paced, dynamic environment.  
  • Works collaboratively with team members for Product Change request implementation, & Value Engineering initiatives, providing detailed follow up according to stablished quality requirements.  
  • Leads & supports new product, machine, & process validation activities, including developing protocols, conducting / leading testing, analyzing results & implementing improvements.  
  • Conducts thorough risk assessments to identify potential quality risks and develops risk mitigation strategies.  

 

Requirements: 

  • Engineering Degree (Industrial, Chemical, or similar)
  • 3+ years’ proven expertise as a Quality Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.  
  • Fluid written & spoken English.  
  • High proven expertise in plastic injection processes.
  • Excellent problem- solving skills and ability to apply structured approaches to root cause analysis and solution development.  
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software. (Minitab)
  • Strong project management skills.  
  • Familiarity with Quality standards & processes. (ISO 9001)
  • People manager experience.
  • Continuous learning mindset.
