The Rocketbook Key Account Manager - Amazon contributes to our Vision and Values by achieving assigned sales forecast objectives. This role is responsible for maximizing long-term Rocketbook Brand equity while delivering short-term sales volume and profit goals for Amazon. The Key Account Manager is in charge of communicating and implementing Rocketbook national initiatives, policies and standards, making sure customer’s needs are known across the Rocketbook and BIC structure to develop and implement business building programs. This role maintains all Amazon customer contacts and relationships, working towards continuous improvement of consumer and customer satisfaction for the Rocketbook Brand by building the business with Amazon. This role reports to the Rocketbook Head of Business Development. This role will focus on both the day to day and long-term success of the Rocketbook Amazon business, by working through the following initiatives and delivering the stated results:


• Delivers Business Results - Manages advertising and promotional funds to meet or exceed sales forecast while staying within budget and policy guidelines.
• Strengthens Business Relationships - Acts as the key point of contact with Amazon’s key personnel, department managers and functions. through customer penetration.
• Owns Business Planning & Negotiations - Develops joint business plans with Amazon that take into account long-term goals, strategies and results.
• Leads Business Communication & Coordination - Communicates information and customer needs across Rocketbook and BIC Organizations. Leads, organizes and facilitates both internal and external teams to meet customer’s needs.
• Drives Business Improvement – Works with a mindset of continuous improvement to build a sound business foundation, recommending and implementing new practices and policies to successfully run and grow the Rocketbook Amazon business. What does success look like:
• Meets or exceeds sales and margin goals
• Delivers digital shelf excellence to drive traffic & conversion
• Develops conceptual presentations drawing from all internal and external resources needed
• Negotiates business plans at customer business planning sessions that achieve business unit’s long and short-term volume and profit goals. These plans should ensure customer performance at or above standards in all key POS-driving areas: Assortment, Pricing, Merchandising, Advertising, and Promotion
• Through customer business planning, program development and communication, ensures complete execution of agreed-upon plans. This includes:
            o Facilitating plan compliance across both customer and internal organizations (including all administrative details)
            o Forecasting customer purchases on a timely basis
            o Communicating and coordinating customer-specific promotions through the BIC and Customer’s organization
Optimizes Amazon media investments (in collaboration with Head of Marketing)
Improves and accounts for profit and volume implications of various alternatives to both Rocketbook and Amazon
Implements improved 1P/3P channel strategy, working with the Head of Business Development and Head of Marketing to determine how to best structure the business
Implements updated brand messaging and streamlined path to purchase with the goal of driving increased consumer engagement via brand awareness, consideration, and conversion on Amazon’s platform via digital merchandising and advertising efforts

 

Qualifications:


• Bachelors degree required; relevant Masters degree preferred
• 5 years of retail eCommerce experience working with large retailer .com businesses (Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.)
• Experience of at least 3-5 years managing Amazon 1P and/or 3P business
• Experience of at least 3 years in a Key Account Management role
• Experience building relationships with Amazon key contacts, such as Vendor Manager and AVS
• Deep knowledge and skillset with ability to implement Amazon best practices for the following:
           o Amazon Platforms – Vendor Central and/or Seller Central, Amazon Advertising tools, Amazon Algorithm
           o Digital Shelf – Keyword Optimization, Enhanced Content, Image and Video Best Practices, Buy Box Mastery
           o Data Analysis & Reporting – Sales, Inventory, Traffic, Conversion, Consumer Insights, and other KPIs
           o In-stock Management & Logistics – Forecasting, Vendor Lead Times, OOS Mitigation
           o Advertising & Promotions – Amazon Ads Optimization (On and Offsite), Deal Days, Deal Types/Coupons, Promotional Strategies
           o Customer Relationship & Joint Business Planning
           o Compliance Policies & Buy Box Expertise
• CPG experience a plus
