Job Description

 

As HR Generalist & Labor Relations, you will be responsible for coordinating activities related to the proper enforcement of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, collective bargaining agreements with unions. Adopt solutions with the union representative and specialized lawyers regarding labor problems. Alsowill provide strategic vision and leadership for the design, development, and administration of company policies, compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, and wellness programs. This is a highly visible and cross-functional role that will collaborate to build a great experience for employees.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

 

  • Employee engagement and Labor Relations
  • HR Metrics / Analytics / HR Program start-up and expansion strategies
  • Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements, cost, and schedule
  • Work with functional managers and the team sponsor to obtain the necessary resources to support the team's requirements
  • Obtain and coordinate space, furniture, equipment, and communication lines for team members
  • Support talent acquisition & selection strategies and training strategies (salary & hourly employees)
  • Budget control for technical training
  • Support in the design and implementation of social facilities for the greenfield
  • Analyze organizational positions and design appropriate Job Descriptions, pay ranges, responsibilities, etc.
  • Establish an environment that facilitates the attraction of personnel, builds on the culture, and ensures the development of the employees.
  • Utilize people metrics to drive key insights and decisions around growth and retention
  • Understand and work closely with the business leaders to support business goals
  • Ensures compliance with the performance management procedures.
  • Maintains employee records and all documentation for employment as per the labor law.
  • Establish, monitor, and track succession planning.
  • Manage organizational investigations.
  • Protect the organization from employment liability by knowing all of the relevant labor laws.
  • Lead the strategy and processes to develop and grow our people, both individually and as teams
  • Manage all people-related compliance activities with appropriate local requirements.
  • Serve as coach and advocate across all levels of the organization, leading issue resolution.
  • Support based on high knowledge & experience in Mexican labor law and union bargaining agreements.
  • Engage in a range of employee relations activities to minimize the negative impact of employee grievances or collective labor disputes.
  • Manage government and public recognitions for the company for labor and social compliance.
  • Interpret and administer the organization's collective bargaining agreements and individual employment contracts so that they are implemented in compliance with the organization's regulations, laws and employee policies.
  • Support employee relations issues and Conduct basic labor investigations
  • Follow-up on the optimization of cafeteria and transportation services

 

 

Projects You’ll Work On: 

 

  • Participate in negotiations or collective bargaining agreements. Act as an intermediary in collective or individual conflicts.
  • Support the administration of the organization's labor relations policies, such as incidents, administrative records, etc.
  • Collect evidence of possible labor disputes.
  • Monitor and implement actions necessary for compliance with business indicators and customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with the guidelines stipulated in the Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health Management Systems, as well as define the necessary controls.
  • Supervise that the personnel in charge carry out the activities related to their position so that the business objectives are met and the Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health Management Systems are kept in operation.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related field.
  • 3 - 4 years oh HR experiencie as a Generalist
  • Presentation and team management skills
  • Knowledge of Mexican labor laws
  • Experience in Labor Relations, negotiation with suppliers, contracts, etc.
  • Advanced English.
  • Competencies: Teamwork, proactive, dynamic, customer service, responsibility, service attitude and sense of urgency.
