This is a hybrid role with two days in office with location in Shelton, CT or Boston, MA. Remote candidates will be considered.
The Brand Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic brand plans that fuel growth across Amazon, retail, and D2C for Rocketbook. This role combines brand strategy, consumer insights, new product development, and campaign execution with a strong emphasis on collaboration across internal teams and external agencies. You’ll be responsible for building equity, driving volume, and managing the business day-to-day to ensure we meet both short-term sales goals and long-term brand ambitions. With a large portion of the business being online, strong digital marketing and media expertise are key. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams with strong influence skills—up, down, and across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Planning

Lead campaign development and branding activities at a conceptual and tactical level, ensuring that branding and messaging are consistent across channels and aligned to business goals.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Creative, Product, Operations) and agency partners to execute marketing strategies that deliver against annual targets.

Analyze category, competitive, and consumer data to identify opportunities, inform decisions, and drive action. Monitor brand health, market share, and performance KPIs.

Facilitate effective PR activations that drive mass awareness via partnership with PR agency, including exploration of brand partnerships.
Innovation & Product Development

Collaborate with the product team to bring new products and features to market from concept to launch.

Develop positioning, pricing, packaging, and launch plans based on consumer insight and category white space.

Lead go-to-market planning, including timelines, creative briefs, and asset development.
Marketing & Activation

Lead the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across paid digital media (search, social, influencer, programmatic) to build brand awareness and drive performance.

Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to develop creative assets and messaging that are optimized for each platform while maintaining brand consistency.

Plan and execute retail media strategies on Amazon and with key omnichannel retailers, aligned to promotional calendars and growth targets.

Analyze campaign performance and consumer behavior to inform media optimization, targeting strategies, and future marketing investment.
Amazon & Retail

Own brand expression and drive optimization across all content touchpoints: PDPs, A+ Content, Brand Stores, advertising.

Partner with the retail sales and D2C managers to align on merchandising, promotions, consumer engagement strategies, sell-in stories, and exclusive product offerings.

Leverage tools and insights to optimize digital shelf with a goal to improve conversion and outperform competitors. Ensure alignment of physical shelf retail executions (packaging, shelf presence, signage) with brand positioning and seasonal strategies.

Work with the D2C manager to ensure the brand is powerfully expressed across the D2C website, email, SMS, and blog.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred

4–6 years of experience in CPG, eCommerce, or a similar consumer-driven industry
-
Previous experience on a brand or category management team for a CPG or like company
-
2+ years experience with market research, consumer insights, and category data analysis with use of tools such as Circana, Stackline, Nielsen/IRI, etc.

2+ years of experience planning and executing digital and/or retail media campaigns
-
Proficient in digital marketing KPIs and best practices with the ability to contextualize & analyze performance to make recommendations for optimization

1+ years of experience managing PR campaigns and earned media
-
1+ years of experience with go-to-market planning for new products

Must have budget management experience

Must have experience presenting to senior leadership

Strong experience working in or alongside Amazon, with an understanding of best practices in content, promotions, and optimization

Experience managing agency relationships is a plus

Experience with innovation pipeline and product lifecycles a plus

Experience with omnichannel retail and D2C operations is a plus

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities

Self-starter with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with project management tools a plus
