The Operational Excellence - Finance expert will measure service and compliance performance, monitor trends, analyse deviations, perform internal audits and recommends initiatives/solutions to ensure continuous improvement in Finance Service Lines. 

The Operational Excellence Specialist - Finance is to collaborate to ensure that service and operational issues are addressed, followed-up, and that sustainable service improvements are made by constructive communication with internal and external stakeholders.  

In the set-up period, the Operational Excellence Specialist is instrumental for the knowledge capture and transfer on “train the trainer” format. She/he will be highly involved in interacting with the sending entity SMEs to draft the SOPs manual and set the ground for successful activity transfer. 

 

The Operational Excellence Specialist support the implementation of comprehensive compliance, quality and control framework for Finance Service Line:  

  • Support of the implementation processes (knowledge capture and transfer) as guardian of the methodology and SOPs setter. 

  • Consequently, participates to all activity transfers and implementations  

  • Contributes to embed a compliance and quality culture in all activities and with all employees 

  • Support creation of procedures and processes in standardized format, reviewing and updating it. 

  • Support creation of desktop manuals and user guides for GBS – Finance. 

  • Support GBS operational Excellence strategy as defined by the Senior Manager - OE that will deliver continuous improvements which is crucial for a shared services organization, in order to achieve productivity gains 

  • Acts as primary point of contact for all Quality/Compliance/control matters related to Finance - GBS with key internal stakeholders  

What you'll do:

Processes setting & improvements 

  • Support the creation and maintenance of the methodology and processes library – guardian of the operational excellence 

  • For assigned scope of responsibilities, responsible for ensuring that the functions/service lines knowledge base (process documents, SOPs, detailed work instructions, training materials) exist in standardized formats, documentation is kept updated and ensuring Finance Line Managers  regularly reviewing and improving documentation 

  • Recommend standardization of processes, and help identify standardization needs as and when needed  

  • Continuously look for improvement including automation under own scope of responsibilities 

 

Quality and Control / Compliance 

  • Regularly validate all templates and processes used to ensure that they are still the most effective way of operating to serve the customers’ needs. 

  • Analyze processes under scope of responsibilities, establishes and implements standard practices, processes and procedures for Finance Service Lines.  

 

Continuous Improvement 

  • Identify continuous improvement areas and recommendations and support the Associate Manager Operational Excellence in following up continuous improvement plans and actions 

 

What you will bring to BIC:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in GL accounting role 

  • Finance education or equivalent experience

  • Very good written and spoken English

  • Good communication skills 

  • Ability to plan and prioritize works effectively
