Under the supervision of the Associate Manager G/L Distribution, the Senior accountant G/L Distribution will have the direct responsibility of several entities, working together and supporting several G/L accountants. The Senior accountant G/L Distribution guarantees the production and reliability of the reporting, statutory and fiscal financial statements of BIC subsidiaries.The Senior accountant G/L Distribution will be involved in multiple projects within the Finance department of GBS Sofia.

What You'll Do:

Within the Finance Service Line, the Senior accountant G/L Distribution duties includes for each of the subsidiaries/entities she/ he will be in charge of:

Recording transactions of expenses, revenues (including back margins adjustments) and accruals (including bad debts) in JDE according to Group rules (IFRS) and local GAAP of relevant entity
Loading of monthly group reporting in HFM
Participation to all group financial process and respect of group reporting and consolidation deadlines (reporting, budget, consolidation)
Responsibility for the monitoring, analysis and the justification of all accounts for the responsible entities as well as clearing of suspense accounts.
Accountable for the effective delivery of General Accounting processes, data accuracy in line with established SLAs for the Finance function.
Deliver to agreed SLA’s regarding time and accuracy, including respect closing deadlines and quality level
Contribute to the production of timely, accurate financial statements and reports; ensure accurate cutoffs, timely account reconciliation

What You'll Bring To BIC:

Accounting Degree
Minimum 3 years in a similar function (General Ledger Accounting)
Strong accounting knowledge
Comfortable with IT environment
Knowledge of JDE (Accounting and Reporting) would be appreciated
Teamwork and good communication skills
English language imperative (additional European language is a plus or may be required)
Sense of priorities
Hands-on
