What You'll Do:

• Drives big data and often complex data analytics initiatives with little oversight.
• Learns and understands data architecture in various source systems and data warehouses to enable report design.
• Works with/ along data engineers, data architects and scientists on a day-to-day basis.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated, self-service reports/dashboards at-scale, utilizing tools like PowerBI (including DAX).
• Writes efficient SQL queries against large, complex data sets.
• Recognizes and adopts best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation for all designed solutions.
• Maintains existing data solutions, reports & dashboards; identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve the system process flow and performance to gain technical efficiencies.
• Communicates to respective stakeholders new reporting activities, data models availabilities, and the data governance strategy, where relevant.
• Collaborates with directors, managers, analysts, and other SMEs to ensure free flow of information and appropriate data/solution provision.
• Maintains current knowledge of industry approaches and available technologies and develops new initiatives and tools.
• Creates and delivers data analytics training and guidance sessions to BIC staff and contracted resources.
• Performs other related duties as required.

What You'll Bring To BIC:

• Bachelor`s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Data Science or related
• 5 years in a similar role, preferably in Azure environment
• Advanced SQL skills, able to optimize queries
• Advanced user of PowerBI (including DAX) or other visualization tools like Tableau, Qlick
• Able to define and create complex models to pull valuable insights, predictions, and innovation from data.
• Effectively and creatively tell stories and create visualizations to describe and communicate data insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of structured and unstructured data, its management, and modern data transformation methodologies
• Hands-on experience with different database types, data warehousing, and data mining/manipulation.
• Application and implementation of experimental design, scientific procedures and processes, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL tools
• Ability to maintain a detail-oriented approach while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel/ Power Query.
• Project management experience, ideally in Agile methodology.
• Experience with JDE, IBM Cognos, TM1 is an advantage.
• Discipline, respecting deadlines
