As part of #teamBIC and as Quality Control Production Line Inspector, you will be responsible in line production environment for:
INCOMING INSPECTION
- Inspect packaging components and raw materials for conformance to specifications (UPC, seals, print quality, labels, damage, etc.)
- Conduct incoming inspections of materials such as blisters, cartons, inserts, labels, pouches, and shippers
- Document and maintain accurate incoming inspection reports
- Report and escalate non-conforming materials to Manager and follow procedures for quarantine or rejection
- Verify material certifications (FSC, recycled content, Hazmat as applicable)
INPROCESS & FINAL INSPECTION
- Perform in-line inspections on active production runs (assembly, blister sealing, pouching, repacks)
- Check seal integrity, product layout, barcodes, LAA# and Hazmat diamonds (where applicable), and overall assembly quality
- Conduct first-off inspections and random sampling during production
- Monitor and document process controls (blister seal checks, defect checks, QA plan adherence)
- Support operators and leads in identifying issues and corrective actions during production
- Audit warehouse stock for shelf life, rotation, obsolescence, and non-conformances
- Manage quarantine area for defective materials
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education an asset)
- 1-2 years experience in quality control, production inspection, or similar packaging/assembly environment
- Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or similar standards
- Ability to follow QA documentation procedures and inspection checklists
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects
- Experience using measuring tools is an asset
- Having experience in Microsoft Office, Outlook and basic computer skills will be an asset · Having some experience in QA/QMS software applications is a definite asset, but not necessary
